Like a Lover

Like an empty sail takes the wind
Like a simple touch heals a sin
Like a kiss with magical powers
Like a fresh breath of liberal bliss
Come, my lover
My heart's other
My treasure chest
My heart's zest
My lover and life
That aids in my strife

Like a fairy wields her wand
Like a pole helps a sail stand
Like a babe needs her mother
And to care wrought the father

Come O, my lover
And let me of thy bother
To be your stone
And be your own

For you are my comfort sharer
And to love you a love that stands though time wander

For like Romeo did to Juliet
I can stand with you on the death row
And take the fall for you in love's name
